Owners expanded big time into reefershipping, Salenrederierna along with Lauritzen the big players of the early eighties. Operated the Cunard reefers when the British line tried reefer shipping, eventually Salen kaput in 1984 but many reefers kept their names to keep the memory going for decades after.
