Fresh Water Boat Yard, Campbell River, BC; February 27, 2015;
name shortened for Purse Seine Patrol;
built 1928 for Canadian Department of Fisheries (1928-1961);
by Hoffar-Beeching Shipyards Ltd., Vancouver, BC;
L x B x D: 14.33 x 3.35 x 1.89 m; 21.42 gt.;
Until 1960, patrolled southern half of Vancouver Island;
till 1990 worked in Barclay Sound and Queen Charlotte Islands (Haida Gwaii);
1998 purchased by current owner who started a five-year retrofit of vessel;
owner: Ian Donald Henry, Victoria, BC

on March 2, one week after I took this photograph, this vessel ran aground on
a gravel bar in the mouth of the Campbell River and despite salvage efforts
slowly disinregrated;
Wreckage was broken up and removed (inc. using a helicopter)
