If i can say something is... OH MY GOD!!!

I was searching all the web to find a photo of this former ship of ours (we owned it as Ocean Wood) as being laid up in Italy and I could not find one... She was a very lucky vessel.. She was bought from Italians...and finally after 2 or 3 owners after us...She is again in Italy and gearless as I see!!

Where did IMO 6915922 suddenly come from?
Trying to puzzle out painted-over names can often prove quite troublesome (especially as we see the same thing differently). Anyway, I think that Ames has indeed the right one.

For corroboration, I found an IMO/ILO paper listing examples of ships which were abandoned with their crews. It includes:

FLASH
Cambodia flag
IMO 6723800
Abandoned 6 Oct 2004 at Augusta, Sicily

She was originally built at Lürssen in 1967 as FRITRE. IMO = 6723800. According to Grosstonnage and Equasis she is still FOTINOULA, but according to Norwegian fleetlists, she became Cambodian-flagged FLASH in 2003

I have to agree with Arnes, compare to photos of DARIL (IMO 6904416). That vessel is a possibility, as it's original name was VIGSNES, which seems to match up with the letters on the hull better than the sisters I've been able to find, and it was last photographed with a yellow funnel.
Kind Regards, Kyle

I'm sure that this is one of the 8 vessels which was built by Fr.Lürssen in Vegesack between 1965 and 1970 for Kristian Jebsen, Bergen. They were all sold to Italy and Yugoslavia in the last half of the 70's

Or could the painted-over name be something like

A...EYEV?

That's what I think I see...

Not convinced that this is IMO 7127027 - though I agree only one in the registers.
One of previous painted-over names seems to end in ---AGE.
Do you have any other or bigger images of this one?
