This type of "standard Rickmers" (as I call it) ship has a "bar deck" under the bridge. It can be fully enclosed, but it can also be open, without glass or plexiglas windows - it is open on the building drawings, anyway. I've seen real bars or recreation/sports rooms arranged on this deck, and Rickmers vessels even advertise cargo ship cruises, so they arrange some space for passengers leisure there...

Thanks for sharing Vlad. Always good to see a modern general cargo ship, not a common thing these days. MACS have a couple of ships of this design, which often call here in Durban, SA. I've always wondered what those things are under the bridge. Huge portholes (maybe some kind of captain's lounge) or big vents for something. Regards, Hugh
