I like the idea of "bridge contaminéis". Never Heard about it but sounds good. As soon as the vessel is alongside and moored safely the bridge containers and crew Will be lifted onto another vessel to take over and put to sea again. Reducing crew cost considerably....
What an excelente idea. Shipbuilders & owners: full ahead!

Thanks for your comments.

I think that the businessmen's hearts are bleeding just from the idea how many more containers they could have on board, if the superstructure was omitted... :)

Here's an idea: make "bridge containers", 40 ft. boxes with all neccesary command & control equipment, and put them on the final layer of cargo containers...

(I'll go and have my medicines now.) :)

Empty boxes storage? With bathing anchors? :-)

Remote control ? Maybe they will rock up with a large floating crane and drop on the Superstructure one day soon. Nice series of photos Vlad, your pictures of newbuild container ships are always appreciated by me.

The hull shape of this CMA CGM mini-megaboxer with its distinctive CMA CGM livery (matching with the funnel colours) has an indeed nice appearance !
