As far as I know, they want to turn the old Arktika into a museum like they did with Lenin. However, the sister ship Sibir will be scrapped soon.

Comparing this to foggy's photo in 2012 - the contrast between vegetation is striking. Also, I wondered why they hadn't deconstructed it. Is it because they don't have proper facilities to store/dispose of the nuclear material? I also just saw something on Facebook, it was a nuclear-powered icebreaker, also called ARKTIKA being launched from a shipyard a few days ago (173 metres long).
