Photo is from Vancouver, September 10,1969. The prevailing autumn fog in the Strait of Juan de Fuca contributed to a September collision between the Philippine freighter President Roxas and the Norwegian freighter Mosgulf off Sheringham Point. The former vessel received a badly smashed bow and the latter a six-foot square hole at the waterline. There were no injuries to crew members and both vessels proceeded under their own power to Vancouver, B.C., for repairs. Gordon Newell, Maritime Events of 1969, H. W.
