Its kind of sad to see a great ship like the Queen of Sidney in this condition, rotting away. especially since this one of the original ships in the fleet. It too bad that BC Ferries gave up on the Sidney and Tswawwassen, they were both good ships in their day, they could have refurbished them with a mid-life
upgrade, and "coastalized" them like they did with the Queen of New Westminster and the other older ship to modernize them, and their in good shape. But also look at the MV Coho which is part of the Black Ball line that runs from Victoria to Port Angeles (USA), that ship is older than the Tswawwassen and Sidney and is in fantastic shape. The difference is care and maintenance which BC Ferries does not do as well. Now their building 2 new ships that will basically be about the same size and capacity of the Tswawwassen and Sidney, Two of the best ships BC Ferries ever had.

Yes, it's the San Matteo (whatever is left of it, anyway).

There's a good article here:

Could it possibly be the S.S. San Mateo...?

There seems to be at least three other wrecks in this picture. Anyone has an idea of the name of the one on the left that looks like a smaller ferry?
