If i was to guess..I would say it could be to do with the emission control area in the EU.
I would guess storage tanks for light Diesel oil to comply with the law.
Only a guess....You can debate whether you would like diesel oil stored in front of the accomdiation or not..As you wish.

What is the stack of containers for? Wasn't there last year.

What's it for, with the strange sloping bit at the base?

Nice one, Ron, of the ever-clean Braren's ship! Not sure if the crew is Ok with having the view from many cabins now blocked by that container stack...
