Initially I couldn't make out what I was seeing, but after a while the H gave away the fact that we are looking at a ship on it's side, with the deck facing us.
How did they get it upright to tow it to deep water, or does it float on it's side like the Cougar Ace and the recent one in the Solent?

According to the Wikipedia article, the ship was on its maiden voyage with a full cargo of cars. Part of the cargo as well as the ship were later scuttled in deep water.
