C3 cargo ship originally completed for Moore-McCormack as Mormactide. However, in August 1942 she was acquired by the U.S. Navy and became the Attack Transport USS Lyon (AP-71). As such, she took part in the invasions of North Africa, Sicily, Southern France and Salerno. In November 1944 she was transferred to the Pacific to participate in the invasion of Okinawa. After the war the ship was returned to Moore-McCormack and resumed the name Mormactide until 1966, when she was sold to Grace Lines, and operated under the name Santa Regina. She was finally scrapped in 1972.
