Description:

Arriving at Tilbury Landing Stage on 18th June 2015. Believe she had arrived from Salcombe en route to the Upper Pool of London. Several PLA officials including the Harbour Master boarded for a couple of hours before she could make her onward passage. Sounds like there may have been an 'incident' on passage?

Hi Krispen,

Hah! Thanks for the background links. All sounds very confusing and pretty much in line with what I 'earwigged' from the skipper talking to the authorities on the forecastle whilst alongside the Stage. Couldn't quite grasp it all without being too obvious!

David, my understanding is the one which sank came from Penryn River area, it was collected from the wharf at Ponsharden, however I did spot this which seems to look very similar to the vessel in the video sinking, which contradicts this theory: link-https://au.totaltravel.yahoo.com/listing/612901/united-kingdom/west-country/south-devon-dartmoor/torquay/h2o-resorts/

I don't recognise this vessel in the picture from the Falmouth area, so has me even more intrigued now.

In case it helps ID the houseboat, that one was brought from Falmouth area (the one that was lost was picked up at Salcombe on the way)

Nice views John - Yes, an incident.... this was only half the tow which left Salcombe. The other piece was lost off Newhaven: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AiPKjBw-0bQ

Wonder if the hot tub is still floating around off Beachy Head - not sure what sort of salvage you could claim for that!

Any ideas of the name of the craft alongside - looked like a old Humber Keel.
