12,077 gross tons, 6,084 net. 16,331 dwt. Lbd: 148.01 x 23.12 x 8.73 metres. Single screw, 15 knots. on7623112 Bulk Carrier built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Ltd., Hiroshima for this concern.

Sold to Queensland Lime & Cement Co in 1985 and renamed Cementco. Is recorded as being owned by CSL Pacific Shipping Pty. Ltd. 1985 with CSL Ship Management Pty Ltd as managers and vessel flagged at Barbados. November 2008 scrapped at Chittagong

My first Australian flagged ship as 3rd mate in 1982 - running Bundaberg to Melbourne.

Must have been taken when Lake Eildon was new.

She was suppose to be my ticket to sea as a Wiper when she arrived at Port Kembla on her maiden voyage. They had a union meeting on board and decided to get someone from Sydney as she was to frequent there.
Lake Eildon is one of my all time favorites.
