HMS Diamond is one of four Type 45`s recieving 8 Harpoon anti ship missiles in two 4 tube launchers, forward of the bridge. HMS Duncan D37 departed Portsmouth on 2nd March for Gibraltar with Harpoon fitted. HMS Dragon D35 was in the first stages of fitting, HMS Daring D32 was nearby in anticipation. The Harpoon missiles were taken off of the 4 controversially & prematurely retired Type 22 batch III Frigates.
