Description:
Discharging bulk cargo at Cádiz.
This vessel, now reported as sold for scrap, has a somewhat infamous history. Apparently the freighter had been detained at Rio Grande, Brazil in August 2014 following a grounding when about to leave port. Upon refloating and inspection, it was found out that there were several security defects as well as unpaid fees.
The ship was subsequently arrested and moored off the port, but the owners then simply abandonned ship and crew, which were left without wages and ran out of supplies in November. As of April 2015, ADAMASTOS was supposedly auctioned off and towed to China.

So from there to Cádiz with one final cargo and owners already negotiating scrap sale on the way? Sounds like the kind of ship I wouldn't want to end up on as a seafarer! The ship was moored at Cádiz a whole 15 days.
