Passing Portishead fifty years ago today was B.P.'s 1954 Harland & Wolff, Glasgow, built tanker BRITISH GUNNER outward from Avonmouth for Swansea to load a cargo for Antwerp
She had operated as CLYDE GUNNER between 1961 and 1963 and was broken up at Vinaròs in eastern Spain, in the province of Castellón, arriving on 17th May 1972
