Description:

Former Royal Canadian Navy vessel used for basic seamanship and navigation training. Now in civillian hands and seen undergoing hull maintenance and repainting at Port Townsend Boat Haven.

While I know the class of the vessel, which one of the former vessels it is escapes me. The only visible ID was that seen on the bow, "BC3077084" which I have been unable to use to find her identity.

Thanks for the ID, Christian. I knew someone had to come along eventually with some more info on these neat old boats.
Kind Regards, Kyle

M. Kyle, these YAG vessels were not all alike, when looking closely at them. For exemple, the length of the rubbing strake, the Windows square or rounded on the corners, the shape of the bow gunwale and the location of the fairlead, embed into it. The YAG 319 was the only boat with her fairlead located abaft (behind) the center of her bow gunwale.
Note, that it seems, that her breezway windows must of been altered after the seventies.

Finaly, from a comment on a site we know that the YAG 319 is owned by a citizen from Ucluelet BC and the YAG 312 is supposed to be in Ladysmith BC.

The YAG 314 was transformed in a yacht in North Vancouver and named Caribou. You can check http://www.kleamanmarine.com/conversions.htm

An it is not YAG 306 because if you look carefuly at http://www.shipspotting.com/gallery/photo.php?lid=1783326#
there is a BC3075754 painted on the bridge.

Another survivor, but presumably not this one:
YFB 316 (registered with that name, ON 838674) - wrongly listed as built 1973 (perhaps a rebuild). Now owned by Ian Mackenzie,, Victoria BC and others. Never became a YAG it seems.

Incidentally, the former YAG 320 is named RNOOKNOO (ON 838306)

Thanks, I had encountered the same. I can also confirm it's not the ex-YFP 317, which is now the yacht FELLOWSHIP based in Tacoma.
Kind Regards, Kyle

Well, is not the ex YAG 320 because if you check this, http://www.shipspotting.com/gallery/photo.php?lid=1516097# you will find the number "BC3025265 on the bow.
