A court has ruled it was illegal for a the 'North Sea Producer' to be imported, beached and broken down on a notorious beach in Bangladesh. The FPSO, which served the MacCulloch field in the UK sector for more than 15 years, was found on Chittagong beach in 2016.

Trying to find the current Marine Broker dealing with vessel as we have a potential customer ... after extensive refit.

Thanks for the link Stan.....
Seems the good people of Hartlepool would prefer the current high unemployment & that countries with poor H&S standards should take the risk of dismantling ships & the resultant injuries & illness's.
With proper, responsible, control of the process, I think the UK should take these scrappings.

If I recall, the passenger liner United States was towed to Turkey to have the asbestos stripped out....then towed back to the U.S. "Not in my backyard" eh?

Patagualino, absolutely agree with you. Nearest scrapping facility just around the corner where they scrapped so called Ghost Fleet few years ago. Second option is Aliaga.

Just found interesting info, her Lloyd's Register class is suspended and flag already changed to St.Kitts & Nevis.

Hi Tony, thanks for sharing, seen this beast today, very impressive but sad view. Taking into consideration her condition and oil production crisis I'm afraid her next voyage will be to the breakers.

She's got a fair bit of growth on her hull. Would she have been one of the single-hulled tankers of days gone by?
