Description:

LANCASHIRE and sister HEREFORDSHIRE were built in 1972 by Doxford at Sunderland for Bibby Line.
This was taken in Glasgow in 1979.
LANCASHIRE stayed with Bibby until 1982 when she was sold on becoming VIRGINIA.
As AMER ASHA she was broken up at Alang in 1998.

Good picture Paulk - Correct me if I'm wrong but were'nt they both "Pallion" Class tweendeckers ? I'll swear blind that Bibby pinched the plans of these ships from Andy. Weir :-D

Yes,I'm sure they were. Interesting about the design. Certainly there are similarities to the Bank Line ships. 8-)

Paul - The biggest difference is the Bibby jobs had that lovely Stuelcken . Far too sophisticated and expensive for Andy.Weir :-D
