I remember writing to shipping lines when I was a kid asking if they had images of their vessels...Texaco were one of the first I received a response from and one to this day I can remember clearly....I had asked for a image of Texaco Maracaibo as she had been at Greenock....they sent a polaroid print along with two or three others.....this image just took me right back...cheers

Thanks Ian- MH was a tanker hotspot in the days when all the refineries were working and before North Sea oil!
But it seems only one or two photographers travelled the long distance to see them in the '60-'70s.

Thanks for posting Mike saw the Texaco Norge many times at the then Texaco Terminal at Pembroke when I was a bit younger then.

Regards
Ian

Always a well kept ship.
As a former BP tankerman, it used to both interest and irritate me that BP disposed of all their proper (3 island) ships quite early on compared to the likes of Shell and Texaco, especially when those ships went on to have long lives under other operators.

Thanks marlon - there is a definite shortage of Milford Haven three island tanker era photos 1960s onwards!!

Mike G. Thanks for posting this picture of the "Norge" berthed at the Texaco jetty, brings back many memories of her and the Norwegian crew. Marlon
