Guangzhou South China Oceangate Container Terminal Co., Ltd　(hereafter GOCT for short)　was founded on June 9, 2006. GOCT is a joint-venture company co-invested by Guangzhou Port Co., Ltd and COSCO Port (Nansha) Co. Ltd which is co-invested by COSCO Pacific Co., Ltd and APM Terminal Co., Ltd.
GOCT is located at the estuary of Pearl River and is the geographic and geometric center of Pearl River Delta. It is 70 km away from Guangzhou downtown, less than 60 km from Shenzhen, Foshan, Zhongshan, Dongguan and other manufacturing bases, 38 nm from Hon Kong and 41 nm from Macau. GOCT owned convenient highway and waterway transportation network. The international services established GOCT the leading position in the international trade.
GOCT has a total quay length of 2100 meters across 6 berths of 150,000 tonnages with total area of 223 hectare. With the excellent nautical condition (-15.5 meters water depth) and state-of-the-art equipments and facilities, GOCT can accommodate biggest container ships around the clock. GOCT equipped with 22 QCs, 64 RTGs, 8 GC, 151,892 TEU yard capacity, 4,968 reefer plugs, 54,360 square meters warehouse, and 18 gates.
