I would say it could be because of the mooring lines or more so the spring lines the hawses is more forward on the starboard side to be out of the way of the lines ? as they wouldn't use the port side as the ramp is on the starboard side.

Does someone know why the chain hawses have not the same position on stbd or port side ?
