Description:

SOUTH VENTURE, the former CAPE HORN of Lyle Shipping Company, built by Lithgows at Port Glasgow in 1957, passing Portishead on 5th September 1967 outbound from Avonmouth in unchanged colours on her first voyage for her new London Greek owners, Stathatos & Co Ltd.

SOUTH VENTURE was sadly wrecked on 22.10.72 on Roncador Cay, off the east coast of Nicaragua, during a ballast voyage from Cartagena, Colombia to Puerto Barrios, Guatemala
