I think if you look at the stern shot they have a clear view over top of containers

Not IMO rules for inland vessels, though, Bob.

Not surprised they have CCTV on the foremast because there's no way (scaled down) that, even with the wheelhouse fully-raised, this craft could have met the requirements of the forward visibility (over the boxes) that were laid down by the IMO that brought about the development of the current, large, "three-island", deep-sea box-ships.

@ Denis: It is not a "dot", it is a "II". Name is "NORMA II", complete compound is named:
"Norma I" (aft part GMS) ENI 02328681 and "Norma II" - (fore part GSL) ENI 02329245. GMS means Inland cargo ship, GSL means Inland cargo push barge. Hope this may assist. Regards Peter

@ marce: As you may see, vessel is just passing the bridge. Wheelhouse is elevated down. Bridge passed. Wheelhouse elevated up. Free sight forward. Hope you understand. Regards Peter

Excellent photo. Just one question. Is it really possible to steers that vessel safely with such a great blind sector ahead? the containers are just at the bridge windows level¡
Most probably the rely in radar and ECDIS ¡
