Description:
Sigurd Herlofsen's TANK DUKE was photographed passing Portishead, outbound from Avonmouth, on 6th November 1965.
Built in 1952 by Bremer Vulkan at Vegesack, TANK DUKE was soon to be sold to Tremari Nav SpA of Genoa and renamed ELIA. In 1968 she was sold to Sicula Partenopea di Nav SpA of Palermo, continuing to operate as ELIA until finally arriving at La Spezia on 8th April 1976 to be broken up.
