Description:

TECHNO ST. LAURENT (formerly registered in Quebec, Canada) - 2015 06 15 - Photographed while she was lying alongside the Marine Recycling Corp. scrapyard in the outer harbour of the Welland Canal at Port Colborne, Ontario, Canada.. She was actually renamed KRISTIN in 2002 by McKeil Marine, Hamilton, Ontario but the name was never applied to the hull. Photos by Jeff Cameron..

She was built in 1944 as HMCS RIVERTON for the Royal Canadian Navy. In 1979 she was sold Techno Maritime Ltee of Sillery Quebec and renamed TECHNO ST. LAURENT. In 2002 she was sold to McKeil Marine and unofficially renamed KRISTIN. Finally in 2006 she was sold to International Marine Salvage at Port Colborne, towed to their yard where she has languished ever since. It is likely that her days will soon end at the end of scrapper's torches..
