Thanks Daniel and Trygve for your info and knowledge about this tug. The tug has been around for 35Y so its safe allright.

The main business for this tug has for many years been to push barges(named "VIRKE...") with timber from Lier, Drammen, Norway out the Svelvik stratis down to Tofte, a short distance out in the Oslofjord. So attached to the barge being pushed, she was an "integrated" part of a bigger "ship."

The center of gravity of your traditional tugboat is so low that a sharp turn would not make much of a difference even with this high deckhouse.
