Description:

M.v."Renate Funk" moored on the Akzo jetty Oosterhornkanaal at Delfzijl the 3th July 1985.

1956 built by Hugo Peters at Wewelsfleth. (78/482) for Willi Holm at Hamburg and named "Beate".
1965 renamed in "Haithabu" by Heinrich Beutler at Lubeck.
1978 sold to P/R. Erika Oltmann at Elsfleth and renamed in "Wesermarsch".
1985 Owner Heinz Funk as "Renate Funk" with homeport Elsfleth.
1988 renamed in "Alte Weser" by Martin Stutz Schiff.GmbH. under Honduras flag with hopmeport San Lorenzo.

On 2nd May 1995 the "Alte Weser" capsized and sank in shallow water about 1¼ miles South-West of Albuan Lighthouse, Denmark after striking a buoy in the Langelandsbaelt on 1 May 1995 during a voyage from Bremen. The master was lost.
