It's not often a 40-year old container ship gains a new name and brand-new paint scheme. Interestingly, her appearance here is quite-contrary to her listed fate on Miramar, which states she was scrapped in China last year.

Seen moored at APM Terminals on the Sitcum Waterway. She recently arriving in Tacoma to serve as a reserve stand-in while ships on the Tacoma-Anchorage run undergo yard periods. Her sister, HORIZON CONSUMER, can be seen in the background as she subs in for HORIZON KODIAK, which is being fitted with exhaust scrubbers in Nantong, China.
