The KAY arrived ,towed, in Malta on 10 th. December 2013 now after 2 years ,she is still lying in the ex-MSCL.No work was carried on her, and wharf dues and payments have been piling up....I wonder what will be her outcome as the area of her berth has been earmarked for development.

Thank you, Emmanuel, for your notice. No, it seems like rebuilding was never a true intention of the owner since Kay was moored in boatyard in Split, Croatia, for several years and was never "finished".

Please note that my comment of 7-12-15 for "last 2 days" should read "last 2 years", rather a different span of time.I apologize for any misinformation re the KAY time in Malta.

regards,

Yes split2503 the KAY is still in Malta ,she seems to be as permanent as Valletta bastions. She is still in the same place, moored at the ex-MSCL dockyard in the same condition as she arrived more than 2 years ago.
No work was ever undertaken on her. Something has to be done about her as mooring dues are gathering in their thousands of Euroes and the ex-MSCL dockyard is due for conversion to more practical use.No rebuilding whatsoever, she more than ever looks a likely candidate for the scrapyard..

regards.

Emmanuel, is Kay still in Valletta? She was in Croatia for long time and now i wonder about her and her "rebuilding".

The KAY on I don't think she will ever be completed. If the wharf dues for these last 2 days are not paid , she will likely be auctioned off...so her future is very hazy....completion or scrapping?? regards.
