I always stand for & say that the Maersk containerships are rather nice & very photogenic ships, and for me the shape of the "G" series is the nicest ( just take a look at the very elegant hull shape ! ), and moreover, this "G" series looks even better now with the heightened accommodation block (more eye-pleasing length/height ratio);

Forget the ship, it is just another container ship, it is the superb, magnificent scenery, the early sunrise which takes your breath away. Could have been a rowboat in the water, it would still make an award winning photo. And with a Christmas tree on the right of the pic, to add to the festive season .Thanks for sharing Jad. just great mate.regards.

Jadran, I'd say, they are more the feelings which ascend from the memories of beautiful Tuscan sunsets at the sea then the feelings of the festive season.

Yes,, the Maersk containerships of the "G" series are the largest containerships (367m) on regular service to Rijeka and they are also on the draft limit ( 14,4m) acceptable at the Adriatic Gate Container Terminal (AGCT), Rijeka.

I think this is the last of the 'G' series to be heightened, all in China, now rated as 10,888 teu

Hi Denis... don't know if you've noticed that this series of Maersk containerships has an extremely high accommodation block (13-tiers !!).
If I'm not mistaken,, their original accommodation block must have been recently heightened by 2-tiers ( I didn't notice these additional 2-tiers on the same vessels when attending port of Rijeka during spring time this year ! ),, does anybody have more information on this particular issue !?

@ Clyde,, my camera is Nikon D5200 ( in addition I also have camera Nikon Coolpix S9300; bought both of them only for the purpose of Shipspotting !! )

Top class Jadran!! Reflections included in difficult light. You must have a good camera and manipulation software. As well as an eye for composition
