Na slici se vidi dio palube i mosta broda "Radnik" slikanog povodom Dana ustanka u Hrvatskoj (tada 27. srpnja) 1947. u luci New York, Na mostu se vide naši iseljenici i članovi posade.

What a suprise! As far as I knew the Partizanka was the only passenger ship operated by Jugolinija. So there was also the Radnik. She and the Partizanka were bought by the Yugoslav government after World War II for the sole purpose of carrying emigrants (also from other counties, as well as war refugees) to Australia, New Zealand, Canada and the United States.

RADNIK built 1908 as LURLINE (Matson Line, San Francisco), 1928 CHIRIKOF (Alaska Packers, San Francisco; ca 1938 US Martime Commission; WW II troop ship), 1947 RADNIK (Jugoslavenska Linijska Plovidba, emigrant ship). 1953 broken up at Split.

I agree with Vedran that from an historical point of view this is an important picture.

Regards, Anton
