Oh come on Ken, where is your British sense of humour? Frafo is German, hence my remark....

What is your real interest in this Website Pieter, you seem to be constantly sniping at one thing or another, does it not give you any pleasure at all.

Ken

Hi Pieter,

The site owner is Portuguese, the server and IT man based in Sweden. Only 7 of the 32 admins are British.
The decision to make a category for SD14's was made in the early days and I must bear most responsibility for it. The reason for its existence is sheer numbers of the type and to make it easier to find them when the search engine at the time was not very good.
It has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with any slant towards Britian or its now almost non-existent shipbuilding industry. Many of these types were built under licence in Greece and Brazil and a few other places I beleive.

best regards
Derek

@Frafo

This is a British oriented site and they love to honour their shipbuilding industry. Hence there is a special category for this type of general cargo ship, the SD14. Shall we put in there even though this one was built in Brazil?
