Description:

Only when checking the other ships on the site with this number I noticed that the Stülcken derrick on this Romanian ship was removed after some years. Does anybody know why and when? This shot dates from the early eighties.

Interesting one, Pieter! I never thought a ship of these series would originally have a Stuelcken HLD installed... I saw these with a row of 4 deck cranes only.

The derrick has been removed, most probably in 2000, once the ship was sold and renamed AURA. Don't know why. However, the cranes were removed after a number of years on many of this ships ( DOLJ type).
