From 1966 to 1968 built 50 units of "Atlantik I" design and from 1968 to 1976 built 121 units of "Atlantik II" design. Also on the basis of this type in 1971-72 seven research trawlers "Evrika" type and in 1973 seven training trawlers "Kursograf" type were built. Most of the vessels of this type have built at Stralsund, on shipyard at Wismar from 1974 to 1976 24 units were built. Most of the vessels of this type were built for USSR. Also 12 units were built for Bulgaria, eight for Romania and five for Cuba.
At least two vessels still were in service in 2013. One of them romanian "Mare Nigrum" ex"Somes" between 1998 and 2002 was converted into research vessel. Other lithuanian "Apuokas" ex"Sadko" still operated as a trawler. http://soviet-trawler.narod.ru/pages/ussr/atlantic.html
