The tug DELFIN is one of several used at the salt plant at Gurrero Negro, Baja California del Sur, Mexico, to take barges full of processed salt out to the deep water port at Cedros Island to load awaiting bulk carriers. One of the 100-meter barges they haul can be seen in the background, along with another of their tugs whose name wasn't apparent at the time of this photograph. DELFIN was built in 1976 by the Asia Pacific Shipyard in Singapore, is 35 meters long, and owned by Transportadora de Sal SA de CV under Mexican flag.
