Description:

The Bulk Carrier GOLFO DI GENOVA arriving in Bayonne at the beginning of the 60's. This vessel was built in 1928 as the tanker RHEA, by "Ateliers et Chantiers Maritimes du Sud Ouest", in Bordeaux, for the French company "Compagnie Auxiliaire de Navigation" (Auxinavi). L : 141m - 7.813gt - 11kn.
In 1954 she became JIMMY MARSANO
In 1957, she was converted into a bulk carrier, with the name GOLFO DI GENOVA. Her central bridge castle was removed and placed over the stern castle. (Not sure of the English name for château central et château arrière)
In 1968 she arrived at La Spezia for breaking up

The two substantial pairs of deck-houses with vents and skylights are the pumproom accesses from her time as a tanker so presumably the pumprooms were retained for ballast handling.
