Three miles? Wow, stunning photo from that distance!

There are several tracks that can get you in a car within a reasonable but sometimes muddy (as today) walk of the riverbank. But today I didn't have my wellies

No competition Bob, just an observation of the practicability of photography at this particular location and I should know having tried it with a shot of the First Cranes arriving.
As Doug has said this is probably the best time of year, once it warms up you can forget it with the haze even more so with a 400mm lens.
I understand you can get closer to the River but it is about an hours walk.
No worries from me, I shall not be competing, I am happy to leave it to you and others.

Best Wishes
Ken

I was further on than Cooling, in a "high place".
I did try a track out onto the marshes. Came to a locked gate. Got a reasonable pic but the seawall was slightly obstructing the ship's waterline so it would probably be deleted by admins. Then had I had to reverse the car for a mile to get out.

Definitely will not be possible come Summer Ken,too much
heat haze.
Did you visit the Castle when you were at Cooling Bob,
there is a track runs out nearly to the sea wall, although
you would probably be too low.

I was unaware that there was a competition. When will we be seeing your entry, Smiffy?
It IS a nice one, Doug. The sun had gone in by the time I got there and I was trying out a new vantage point, which is about 4.5 miles away.
