Turns out this ship was towed to Mexico to be converted into a crane ship:

For some reason Kherson have indeed confused the issue by starting their series of inland tanker hulls for completion by VeKa, Werkendam at 6001 in 2009 (and have reached at least 6008).

As for this one, see discussions:

Some work has been done since 2010. I wonder if Tuomas ever received a reply form the designers or builders?

HI Phil,
Checked your link and there is project 10620 and 10621 which are slightly different in size but identical in appearance. With a total of 5 and 4 ships. Probably project 10620 were given the SA-10 type name.
Thanks for the link Phil!
Cheers,
Roy

Hi Phil,
Thanks for your reaction. Indeed SA-15 are totally different, they were built in Finland. No I'm talking about SA-10, all built in Kherson. Perhaps project 10621 were an, almost, identical follow-up of the SA-10. They were built end 80ties early 90ties. Once again don't have the info with me but definitely more than 4.
Anyone with any clarification........ I know they are mentioned in the last edition of "Sovjet Merchant Ships" by Ambrose Greenway, and I do remember I wrote further sisters with pencil by the SA-10 type sisters. The further sisters were probably project 10621.
Cheers,
Roy

Roy, there were only 4. they are designated project 10621 by the ship design bureau, which lists them here:
http://smart-maritime.com/en/reference-list/arkticheskie-snabzhentsy/proekt-10621/

Are you thinking of the SA-15 type, which is an entirely different beast?

It's a SA-10 type ship. I don't have the info with me, but I'm sure there were more than four (4) of them.

Roy

Interesting, did Kherson issue the hull number more than once? If Miramar has got it right, IMO 9483865, inland tanker JAIMY V, also was built by Kherson with number 6004.

Link to the 4 sisters: https://uglyships.wordpress.com/2010/07/31/ice-maiden-i-sisters/

It is hull number 6004 from Kherson shipyard in Ukraine, hull number 6001 is Ivan Papanin (8837928), 6002 is Ice Maiden I (9056894) broken up in 2013, 6003 is Xue Long (8877899). Regards John
