Description:

4,001 grt; 4,500 dwt. 253,803 cu ft refrigerated.
Operator: Skibs-A/S Samuel Bakke (Christian Haaland), Haugesund, Norway on charter to the Jamaica Banana Producers' Steamship Co Ltd, London.
Built: 1948 by A/B Götaverken Gothenburg, Sweden. Yard no. 620.
Propulsion: eight-cylinder, two-stroke Götaverken DM760/1300VG-8U of 7,000 bhp at 125 rpm. Speed: 17.5 knots.
1948-chartered to Salénrederierna, Sweden.
1950-began charter to Jamaica Banana Producers Steamship Co Ltd (Kaye, Son & Co Ltd), London, which continued until the end of the ship’s service.
1970 (2nd October)-damaged by fire.
1971-to breakers at Santander, Spain, arrived 26th March.

I do realize this is a "long" shot. But I wonder if the superb photographer Bob Scott i still araound ?
The North Star was my first ship in my career for 27 years. It would mean a lot if he was noticed my request.

Looks similar to the old Swedish-Chicago line ships that used to ply the Great Lakes, including Chicago and South Haven, Mi (with tons of pulp for a nearby to SH paper mill.
