I hope that the ORIANA and the AURORA then when the company gets rid of them they are bought by another company which still make good use of them, and they keep on gracing the seas and our harbours at least under new names and ownership. Thanks Malim for the info.regards.

Hi Brett. I am sure that these are not passengers cabins, so either crew or stores but embarking seeing this damage would'nt know that .Same if you are taking a taxi with dents to the body, you more or less think that the driver is not that careful or competent.regards.

Emmanuel,
As a 21 year old cruise ship she's now at the age where she'll start to become very troublesome mechanically and electrically, therefore more expensive to keep in service.
Also this one and AURORA don't really fit with Carnival's "big ship" policy these days, where the only way they make money is to fill large numbers of cabins at discount prices.

Those portholes are crew quarters, not pax...however, the average pax wouldn't know that !!!

ORIANA for scrap?, but she still looks immaculate and much better looking than recent buildings. Let 's hope that at least she is sold for further cruising under a new owner and flag. She is one of my favourites though I prefer her in her old funnel colour. regards.

Hi Federico, doesn't look right from a passenger view, embarking on a cruise seeing the damage close to those portholes. Regards

Perhaps not worth the money for a cosmetic repair. Rumour has it she's for the chop soon.

It is curious that they didn't change the plates in that area! One year passed from the allision with Southampton births due to strong wind during arrival!
