Description:

The former Johnson tanker OCEANUS, which was quite special in the sense that she was fitted with three 18 ctylinder medium speed Pielstick engines, giving over 25000 BHP in total. Apparently it was a big success as she was re-engined with one slow speed engine in 1978, as well as shortened, and converted to SBT tanker. She was renamed Lantau in 1982 and ARCHIPELAGOS (as shown here) in 1984. The hammer fell in 1986.
I remeber her lying in the Caland canal for months during 1970, doing repair work on the engines.
