Description:
Seen passing Portishead inbound for Avonmouth exactly fifty years ago today, on 30th March 1966, was NICOLAS MARIS, owned by Michael Maris (Morland Navigation, London).
Built in 1958 at Lobith in Holland as KREEFT for Hudig and Veder of Rotterdam, she had been purchased by Maris in the autumn of 1965.
Later: 1979 AFOVOS- 81 MIKI- 86 MIKY (Roussos Bros)
Beached at Aliaga on 8.3.87 for breaking
