Description:

Notorious Russian (Pallada class)cruiser now a static display in - Neva River St Petersburg but still part of the Russian Navy.

Launched 24/5/1903 at Admiralty Shipyard in St Petersburg, took part in the Russo-Japanese War 1905. A blank shot from her forcastle gun signalled the start of the October Revolution after her largely Bolshevik crew refused an order to put to sea 25/10/1917. After becoming a training ship she was bombed and sunk in Oranienbaum 30/9/1941. She was refloated and has been rebuilt and restored over the years and is now a museum ship located on the Neva River.
