Crowley lost the contract for Prince William Sound tanker escort. Maybe this is why they abandoned the alaska name.

Listed elsewhere as WEST KIRBY (IMO 9704805), though Yd 24 certainly appears as ALASKA in some databases and was clearly intended at some point:

But to confuse the issue, LONE STAR STATE (IMO 9697985) is apparently running round with her AIS showing IMO 9704805 in some systems)
