Description:

1,528 grt; 512 dwt; 36 passengers.
Operator: Townsend Car Ferries Ltd, Dover.
Built: 1948 by Wm Denny & Bros Ltd, Dumbarton, Scotland. Yard no 1413.
Propulsion: twin-screw with 2 x eight-cylinder, four-stroke Deutz RBV8M366 (new 1955) of 3,600 bhp (total at 275 rpm. Speed: 18 knots.
Built for General Steam Navigation Co Ltd, London as passenger excursion ferry ROYAL SOVEREIGN.
1967-sold/converted/renamed AUTOCARRIER (as photo).
1973- sold to Societa Patrenopea di Navigazione, Naples, Italy, rebuil and renamed ISCHIA for service Naples-Ischia.
1975-sold to Navigazione Toscana, Livorno (Leghorn), Italy, for service Piombino -Elba.
1980-sold to Umberto Patalano, Casamicciola Terme, Italy.
198?-registered to Traghetti Pozzuoli Srl, Naples, Italy. For service Naples-Ischia.
2007-sold to breakers at Aliaga, Turkey.
