Pieter you are probably right to Staubo chartering the four tankers from Karageorgis I thought that they were owned by Staubo as new deliveries at that time.

Ian

For Your Reference :

Gross Tonnage is not in tons.
Until 2000 ? for marine purpose was in use the unit called RT ( Registry Ton ) 1RT = 100 cubic feet or 2.83 cubic metres .
Actually GROSS TONNAGE : NO UNITS , only number.

Hi Ian, I always thought that the four Staubo ships were also owned by Karageorgis, but were on a long term charter to Staubo?

Thank you for posting this photograph of the Athenian Harmony pieter, she was origanlly completed as the Stakara then later sold to Karageorgis to become the Messiniaki Avra.

Ian Thomas
