S.A.SEAFARER is seen passing Portishead, outbound from Avonmouth, on 1st May 1966, so exactly fifty years ago today.
Built at Greenock in 1950 as CLAN SHAW, she was sadly wrecked at Green Point, Table Bay, on her next outward voyage two months later, on 1st July 1966.
