Description:
One of the pioneers of the Vehicle carriers as we know them today was Jan Erik Dyvi, who had this DYVI ATLANTIC already constructed in 1965 (Drammen). The ship was almost 150 metres long, yet under the old tonnage rules, she only measured 1852 GRT. The prefix DYVI was deleted in 1983, her funnel remained the same. In 1984 she became Avanti, only to be broken up one year later in Vigo, Spain.
