Built by Cantieri Navali Ansaldo di Sestri Ponente, Genua (ITA). Launched 7. Dezember 1958, delivered 19. März 1960, commissioned 30. Juni 1960. On July 4th 1980 a fire broke out and destroyed the ship completely. Broken up 1982 in La Spezia. Regards Peter

The date happens to be my birthday as well, but I know what my dad was doing on my birthday while I was in Viet Nam. I'd much rather have been in Boston watching him take pictures of the ship.
